rider info & Frequently Asked Questions

Many of your questions will be answered in the Rider Manual - see above to download. Please reach us at wylamonwheels@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

To enter Wylam on Wheels, simply click the red ENTER button (below and also on our Home and Routes pages) - which will take you to the British Cycling On-line entries system. This allows you to make secure payments by credit or debit card. Please note you DO NOT need to be a member of British Cycling to do this, but you DO NEED to register with their entries system (you will be automatically taken there).

Wylam on Wheels will comply with Government COVID regulations. Please check on the website before the event for any updates. Hand sanitiser will be available.

Wylam on Wheels starts and finishes on the Jubilee Playing Field, Main Road, Wylam, NE41 8DN - see map below.

Registration/start for the 100km route is 07.30-08.30.

Registration/start for the 25km and 60km routes is 08.30-09.30.

Ideally we encourage riders to cycle to Wylam.  For those who are driving to Wylam there is a free car park in the village (Wylam Car Park - Tyne Riverside Country Park) - see map below, but this is often well used at weekends. Alternatively, please use considerate on-street parking elsewhere in the village.  We are hoping that Wylam on Wheels will cause minimal disruption to residents and visitors to Wylam.

Under 18s need to ride with an adult who will take responsibility for them and a parent/guardian needs to sign the consent form - which can be downloaded below.  Please bring the completed consent form to Registration desk on the day of the event.

E-bikes and tandems are very welcome on Wylam on Wheels.

Sorry, no refunds will be possible for any reason as the funds go directly to the Wylam Playing Fields charity.
