** UPDATE 13/9/23 **
Due to a road closure on Meadows Edge (Bale Hill), there is a change to the 100km Super Challenger Route. The revised route now ascends the B6278 from Edmundbyers. There is a “turn around” point at the start of the closed road (Meadows Edge). Marshals will be located at this point. Then there is a fabulous descent back along the B6278 to Edmundbyers and on to Blanchland. The overall distance of the route remains more or less the same (102 km; 4,900 ft. (1,500 metres) ascent). The new route can be downloaded on to a Garmin using this link:

Following the popularity of the 60K route in 2022 we are offering a challenging 100K route in 2023 including Hedley on the Hill (affectionately known as MH11 to those who race, this was the scene of the 2017 British National Hill Climb Championships), Kiln Pit Hill, two climbs out of Blanchland and Slaley. Several challenging climbs with beautiful scenery (including spectacular views of Derwent Reservoir and Slaley Forest) on relatively quiet roads. There will be 2 feed stations during the ride.
Please see this guide on how to get the revised route on to a Garmin from the email sent to you from WoW.
